UPDATE: ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems - Requirements is available on the ANSI Webstore
The new revision of ISO 9001 is due to be released by mid-September. The 2015 update of this standard for quality management will mark some changes from the 2008 version, including compliance with Annex SL, which defines the framework for a generic management system, and integration of quality management by institutional leadership. These main changes have been discussed in a past post.
In addition to the background we have provided, you can learn more about the changes to ISO 9001 through the event, “All You Need To Know About ISO 9001:2015”, on Google+. This is a free online event that will broadcast live on Tuesday, September 8, from 10:00 to 10:30 AM EDT.
In addition to this revision, on September 14, we saw the release of ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management Systems. You can learn more about this revision by reading this past post on the release of ISO 14001 FDIS, or this more-recent one discussing life cycle assessment in the update of the standard.
