About the ANSI Blog

The American National Standards Institute is the administrator and coordinator of the U.S. private sector voluntary standardization system. ANSI oversees the creation, promotion, and use of standards that impact businesses in practically any sector, ranging from construction to agriculture.

ANSI's mission is:

To enhance both the global competitiveness of U.S. business and the U.S. quality of life by promoting and facilitating voluntary consensus standards and conformity assessment systems, and safeguarding their integrity.

At ANSI, we deal with standards. Here, at the ANSI Blog, we find new ways of dealing with standards, while still fulfilling our organization's mission. Through news developments in the world of standardization, interesting applications of standards most people don't even know exist, and even contributions from industry experts, we look for and bring to you information on the many lesser-known compliance efforts that directly impact your life.

We are always learning, and we hope you are too.
